Shomer Eretz Farm is a 44 acre family owned and operated farm located on the outskirts of Mansfield, Ohio using all organic methods to raise beef cattle, dairy cattle, meat chickens, and laying hens.
Dairy Cattle: We have a small herd of Jersey dairy cows. Jerseys produce a rich delicious milk with a high genetic tendency to carry the A2A2 gene making their milk not only delicious but also very easy to digest. Our beautiful Jerseys are on pasture all year round and supplemented with hay during the winter months. They receive a small amount of organic grain while being milked twice daily as well as having access to important nutrients and minerals free-choice. Join our Herdshare program to enjoy fresh milk from our herd.
Beef Cattle: Our organically fed beef herd is currently growing. We use all Angus cattle known for their high quality beef products which are tender and delicious from their steaks to their ground beef. While our herd is growing, we are pleased to feature beef raised on a pastured, non-gmo, anti-biotic free farm. This same farm is where we purchased our cattle from to start our herd, so we know how they are raised, their quality, and their feed!
Laying Hens: We have a large flock of chickens that are fed an all organic, corn free, soy free feed. They are free-ranged daily, so they can enjoy life as a chicken! They provide our family and customers with some of the richest most delicious eggs! We also have many customers who have multiple food allergies that have found since we feed a corn free and soy free diet, they are much less likely to have any issues digesting our hen's eggs.
Meat Chickens: Every summer, we raise groups of meat chickens who are pastured during their entire life as soon as they are old enough to go outside and fed an organic diet. These healthy chickens enjoy good feed, fresh air, sunshine, clean water, and even chasing bugs! They are processed at a licensed butchering facility then returned directly to our farm for our family and yours to enjoy!
Animal Feeds: If you have animals, they have to eat just like ours do. We are pleased to offer New Country Organic Feeds for chicks, laying hens, meat chickens, ducks, sheep, rabbits, pigs, goats, turkeys, horses, minerals, grubs, and more! We also feature local organic cow and calf feed.
Bison: We are pleased to partner with two local all pastured Bison farms to also be able to offer you all-grass fed Bison.
Bone Broth: We offer both Chicken and Beef bone broth. The chicken broth features our chickens and all organic ingredients processed in a licensed commercial kitchen. Delicious and restorative to your gut balance and digestive system! The beef broth features our partner beef and all organic vegetables processed in a licensed commercial kitchen.
